To be called an "alternative" a variety must represent not more that 1% of the total bearing vines in Australia as defined by the Australian Wine and Brandy corporation. Enjoyed in Europe for generations these alternative varieties are now emerging as Australian favourites due to their ability to match perfectly with food. A classic example of a Granite Belt style, with plenty of spicy ripe fruit, white pepper and a touch of oak on the nose. The palate is very delicate and focused with juicy ripe fruit in perfect balance with oak, tannins and acidity.
A medium bodied wine with juicy cherry fruit and a raspberry nose. The palate is soft and supple with ripe fruit, mouth-watering tannins, a touch of oak and that classic crunchy Barbera acidity.
This Sparkling Vermentino is the second release for Golden Grove Estate following on from the success of the first. Winemaker Ray Costanzo has crafted a sparkling wine that reflects the positive fruity characters of Vermentino all wrapped in a textural full flavoured wine.
The 2016 Mourvedre is a rich sophisticated wine. The nose is packed full of spicy berry fruit with earthy undertones and a touch of oak. The palate is every bit as complex, from its savory red berry fruit core to the plush tannins and well balanced oak.

Originating from Sicily, This variety reflects the hard working heritage of our family. The 2016 Nero D'Avola has a nose of cherries, raspberries and red forest fruits with an underlying hint of sweet oak. The palate is soft and succulent with bursts of perfumed sweet fruit all in perfect harmony with the fine grain French oak, and chalky tannins.
